SAD in a nutshell

The Science for Action and Development (SAD) division of Inra undertakes cross-disciplinary research combining agronomy, animal production science, ecology, economics and social and human sciences.

We seek to deliver in partnership with stakeholders and end-users scientific knowledge that provide strategies and support to underpin sustainable agriculture and development.

The focus of our research is to describe and understand the determinants and impacts of practices and activities, the procedures and results of collective action, and the technical, organizational and institutional innovation processes in the agro-food sectors and rural territories.
